On this one you can see the skulls pretty well. After finding out that the head is sometimes transparent and it has a human skull in it, I had to paint that.
After standing it up, somehow it reminded me of a facehugger, which I probably should have included somewhere on purpose.
Don't read too much into this, it was just a thought to help take up space and I was going through alot of tubes of putty. It's a little stash box... err, uh... where the eggs come out, yeah.
The epoxy putty I used gets super heated and cures within 2 minutes. I burnt myself, yes I did. It was difficult to smooth out and impossible to sand, I would have needed to coat it with a layer of green putty or bondo. I figured the gloss finish would have to do. The sculpt is as hard as a metal casting and permanently welds itself to everything, especially the plastic top. And it's only on the top panel and door so he can switch it out if he gets a new one. The color is Games Workshop's Chaos Black, only the best!
And if anyone's interested, this is how I explained it to him; It takes ALOT more work than a portrait tattoo, which I would charge $300 for. So if I had to do something like this again... $300.
