Ive found a switch on an old mod chip im going to try and install on mine and there is a nice little spot for it withing the battery area. if you look where the battery goes there is a little gap in the bottom right corner, this is just big enouth for the switch and it will not get in the way of the battery.

Yeah thats pretty neat, for mine i think ill just set the LEDs to come on when its on, and skip the extra hassle... i see how that can be convenient though, i dont know if you have the same problem but the battery cover on my PSP is a little difficult to get on and off... maybe its just me but i guess if you wanted to have a switch it would be best to put it somewere hidden from view...

you mean to put it on hold to turn them on, then when you want them off put it on hold again? i dont see why not, i think a toggle switch would work...

why are there so many different symbols for one electronic thing, its confusing and annoying

is it possible to connect an "x" amount of leds when the power is green and an "x" amount of leds when the power is orange at the same time? like for example when you turn on the psp 2 leds come on and if you charge the psp 2 other leds come on. that would be cool.

All you would have to do is hook the ground for the leds you want on while charging to the ground of the orange, and the ground of the leds you want on with the green light to its ground.

At lest i think, might wanna have it check by someone who knows what there doing.

Usually if solder doesn't want to stick it is either because your iron isn't hot enough..or there is a layer of varnish over the point you are trying to solder to.. give the connection point a careful scrape with a sharp point/blade and try again..
