I understand that you [Moderators] have a life and a lot of other things to do.

Like I said before, I appreciate what you guys do and that you have lives but to me it seems that you guys are having trouble keeping up with it at times. I could not care less if I were a mod or not, I just want to see some improvement and am offering a solution. You [moderators] are getting a bit overwhelmed. I have run forums before and I know that you can have different levels of Moderators. You don't necessarily need to add 20 new site admins (that would be overwhelming, hard to handle and overkill) but maybe just 5 or so lower level Moderators that can delete threads and ban.

Okay tizz you have my apologies.

Just a suggestion: would it be possible to put in one of those "re-captcha" things so that you have to enter the words in the image to register? Aren't those things designed to stop bots?

Also, do you have an idea why we are suddenly having so much spam? I'm just wondering if there's a reason or is it just random.

tizz78 wrote:I would like to personally thank everyone for their concern. Now that that's out of the way let me say this : You do not have to click EVERY link you see, or every POST. It's not that damn difficult to just not click. Odds are if you are ADD or ADHD then you shouldn't even be at a pc right now anyways, so grow up and don't click on the porn links. Most of you guys bitching sound like you're about 13, it's a community site, deal with it and find something else to bitch about. All the moderators and admins have lives as well, we can't be on here every day. Hell, I'm leaving for basic soon and this is not my priority. Like many on here I have a full time job, family and going to school on top of getting in shape for the service. Now, I appreciate the concerns just as I'm sure Llamma does, but I get rather offended when someone demands that we do something or demand they be appointed as a moderator. Basiclly, I will weigh this heavily but those bitching about it don't be suprised when I decline your demand to be a moderator....

Have a nice day.

EDIT : Also, as a side note to those "Who have been a moderator before", you should've known that the posts are from "BOTS" and not actuall people. Bots make multiple posts in various threads at websites in a matter of minutes and are a constant battle. There is no way to eliminate them 100% as of yet. I would also like to point out that we here as the forum staff are voulenteers and are not actual staff members. Maybe next time you should take the time to be a little more considerate to others trying to make YOUR experiance here a better one.....

I am sorry if I offended you Tizz. I was not meaning to insult the mods. I was simply noticing that spam posts are left for awhile at times. I realize you have lives as do most of us. I realize you guys have things to do and can not spend all your time on these forums. This is exactly why I made this thread, to call attention to the fact that there are active members here who would be happy to help. I did not make this thread to put down the mods and I am sincerely sorry if it came across that way. I also realize that they were bots that attacked and that you cant just stop them, but a quick ban and deleting of their posts would help. Especially if there are a few more mods who will just spend a few minutes cleaning up the spam. May I inquire as to which branch of the service you are going into, Tizz? Once again I am sincerely sorry if any of my comments seemed derogatory.

Chiefs13 has been asked to be a mod. He is very active and should be the only addition to the team we need for now. I feel no further discussion is needed on the topic, unless we see more problems. Congrats chief :D I would say that your my favorite person on here except you live in Texas and your not a cowboys fan. :D GO COWBOYS!

Blahk!! :P I am a transplant Texan, been here 10 years, ready to leave from day 1! lol, nah, it's not that bad. But the comment about the Cowgirls has got to go! Actually, they aren't even in the same conference as me so what do I care, someday maybe the Chiefs can stomp you guys in a Superbowl.
